Camera's dead

Things you miss out on since we can't find our camera charger in our town home full of boxes:
1. Yesterday we dropped our keys off at our sold house and said goodbye for the last time. It was a little sad, I don't know how people can move around so often, we got so attached to our first home.
2. We signed the closing papers yesterday at the title company.
3. Last night we went out to dinner to Ruby Tuesday's as sort of a tradition. The night we got our house keys we were eating at Ruby Tuesday's, so the day we gave them away we wanted to eat there again. And bonus- had a buy one entree get one entree free coupon. Love Slickdeals.net!
4. Our new place that is truly full of boxes! It's been so hard to decide what to unpack and what to not unpack since this summer is still in the air of where we are going depending on if Jonny gets an intern.
Hopefully we find our camera charger soon!

Moving Day...sniffle sniffle

This weekend we said goodbye to our home for the last 2 years. It seems so surreal, like we weren't really moving. And even right up to picking up the U-Haul we still didn't know where we were moving to! That's right, we still didn't have a place to move to the day we were moving out. We were waiting to hear back on an apartment we went to look at last week, and he was suppose to get back to us that afternoon. As a back up we went and filled out an application at some town homes near by, but it was held up by our criminal background check of all things! Jonny seemed ok and not too nervous that we were going to be loading up this U-Haul with no place to go in it, but I was so nervous. And then just as we pulled into the drive way the townhouse called and we had a place to live (good thing, because that apartment didn't work out)! Jonny's parents got there just as we pulled up with the U-Haul, and my sister Alyssa, and my friend Desiree showed up shortly after. THANKS SO MUCH FOR HELPING!
This is our last night at HOME. I had joked earlier with Jonny that we have lived in this house for 2 years and had never had anything delivered there, so since our food was all packed we got some yummy pizza.

And sat on our 'couch'. Wehad to take a picture of what we've been sitting on the last couple days. We put it up to make space in our living room for all the boxes, hey it works.

Sold! We should have gotten a picture of a huge 'SOLD' sign, but no time for that.

Our moving picture. We LOVE our new SUV! It was so nice being able to just get a U-Haul trailer and pulling it ourselves, and filling up the back of it made for so much extra room.
We close on our house on Wednesday, so tomorrow we'll be saying our final goodbye's as we clean our house for the new owners- going to be honest not looking forward to that.

Score!

As moving day upon us (we close at the end of the month on our house!!) I've been hittin up grocery stores for boxes, and yesterday I SCORED BIG TIME at Macey's! I go in there and ask the produce department if they had any extra boxes, and she peeks her head in the back and says 'How many do ya want?' I of course answer 'All of them!' well, I guess I didn't realized just how many she had back there. It filled up the whole back of our SUV! This will help out soo much!
Well, moving day is approaching us but where we are moving to is still undetermined. I HATE not knowing 'the plan'. It has been very stressful looking for a place to live (and that allows pets). Maybe I'll have to get a few more boxes, and build a fort because that's where we are going to end up living. Hehe. No, we have looked at a few apartments, it's just narrowing them down to one that will work. We looked at one on Monday- and loved it! I really hope the landlord picks us, as he has a few applicants. Throw your happy thoughts our way, bc we are needing them!
Even with all this stress though of packing and finding a place and moving, we are SO grateful that we got our house sold so quickly! There were a few bumps in the road with the people buying our house- they are really 'interesting' people that's all we'll say about that. But what a huge blessing in this economy to sell our house in just 2 months! I feel bad when we drive by houses that have been for sell for well over a year. The advantage of our house though was it a lot cheaper than most houses out there. Perfect for college students! We are so sad to be leaving our home after just 2 short years of living there, but we knew it would come to an end when we moved in. It's amazing how attached you can become to a house, so much hard work and so many memories were made in this house it's going to be tough to say goodbye. I also wanted to let my family know how AMAZING they are! Before we even knew when we were moving out I got phone calls from them 'When do we need to come up and help pack/move/clean?', they are already arranging everything that needs to be done, and everyone's 'job' in helping us move before we are. They are so good at dropping everything in their lives to help out someone else that needs it. I really hope Jonathan and I strive to be like that, my family is such a wonderful example of GIVING!

Valentine's for OTHERS

For Valentine's Jonny and I decided to GIVE! We had so much fun too! I think we were more excited to give then the people receiving! We are thinking of making it a tradition- so you could be next to receive a romantic dinner for 2! We decided to do this for my best friend and her husband- Kristie and Mike! Those two so deserve it and so needed it after having a brand new baby in the house the last month. So Saturday morning we woke up (purchased our NEW SUV which is another post coming!) and drove down to Salt Lake to make some yummy chicken Alfredo, corn, french bread, fruit cocktail, and a chocolate pie!
Jonny's AWESOME parents let us use their house since they weren't going to be home that night and we lucked out because they already had all the decorations for a romantic evening!
We literally lit the candles like 3 times. I would call Mike and ask when he was leaving and then time it so they would be lit when they got here, but with a brand new baby- leaving on time is non existent. Here's how it all went down: Mike told Kristie earlier this week that he had a surprise dinner planned for Kristie and Jonny and I were going to watch Bailee. So Saturday night they dropped Bailee off at Jonny's parents for us to 'babysit' (I actually had to meet them out in the driveway so Kristie wouldn't see the inside of the house) and then Mike put a blind fold on Kristie and drove around the block a few times to throw Kristie off and pulled right back into the driveway. Jonny and I had the worst butterflies waiting for them to pull back into the driveway!
When they finally got there again Jonny and I raced downstairs where Bailee was and wouldn't you know it, as soon as we can hear Mike bring Kristie in and start directing her up the stairs 'Step...Step...', Miss Bailee Renee starts squriming and almost starting to cry. Panic ran thru Jonny and I- if Kristie hears Bailee it's over! We did our best to calm her down and it worked.
Kristie was SHOCKED!! We loved it!!
The table turned out so good, as well as everything else. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect evening for them!
Downstairs while watching Bailee I look over and this is how Jonny is feeding her! I cracked up because my husband is the most comfortable with babies than any other guy I know- he LOVES them! So it was so funny to see him looking so 'akward'.
This is more normal!
I have to laugh out loud at this picture. Bailee looks soo not interested in being in the picture with me. Looking back too, alot of pictures that we are in together she has is not interested. I hope this isn't a sign to come...
And stupid us- didn't even get a picture of the prized couple!! Dang it!!

Sleepy weekend

Don't know what it was this weekend, but our schedule's were so off. This is me Friday night around 10pm! Sad I know, which led me to wake up around 8:30am Saturday morning- oh how I hate waking up early on Saturday morning. Especially when Jonny had no trouble staying awake, and finally went to bed around 2:30am. So when I got up at 8:30am, I had to stay quite until around 10:00am when Jonny finally got up.
... and this is Jonny at 8:00pm Saturday night! (This never happens, but Jonny has been sick all week, and poor guy can never just 'take a sick day'. He had a big test this past week that he's been studying for- AND GOT A 92%!) So I don't blame him for finally crashing and getting some rest. He needed it. Hopefully next weekend can be more lively for us!

It finally happened! I have been waiting for this moment for the longest time! It happened to me once long long ago way back in 5th grade. I was beginning to think that I had dreamed it solely because it had only happened the once and I had never seen it again. But now I remember it like it was yesterday. It was lunch time and out class was scheduled for a soccer game. We were all standing around waiting for things to get started. A friend Chris Montoya had purchased some Nacho Cheese Doritos and was munching on them before the game started. In the bottom of the bag was a little orange clump of cheesy goodness. No one else wanted to eat it but I didn't care I thought I'd give it a try. So I popped it in my mouth and it was an explosion of tastiness! A little ball of seasoning that somehow made it into the package and got clumped together for my pleasure.

Then as my wife picked me up from school it happened. She had brought some Nacho Cheese Doritos for a luncheon at work and brought what was left home. Me being the starving person that I am because I get so busy I don't have time to eat, opened the bag and began to munch. Then to my most pleasant surprise I pulled out this!

It had happened again I couldn't believe it! The amazing little ball of cheesy goodness had come back again! What are the chances!? Just when I had given up all hope that they even existed I got one again. So I popped it in my mouth after I took a short trip down memory lane and explained to my wife what is was all about. Luckily Angela is allergic to MSG and if she ate the cheese ball she just might die. I offered it to her anyways not to be rude knowing that she wouldn't want it. So the time came to eat it and when I did the explosion of cheesiness was even better than I remembered. I can now only wait till I get visited by the little ball of joy again.

2 week check up

Krisite and Bailee at her 2 week old check up! I had the opportunity to go down to Salt Lake this past Saturday and stay till Monday evening and spend time with Kristie and little baby Bailee Renee. It was so good to see Bailee Renee and how big she is getting, how good she is doing, and her little personality come out! Kristie is doing such and amazing job- and she is exhausted, but has good reason. A brand new baby really wares you out. Kristie has has such good help though since she's been home. I was so sad to leave, I could have stayed forever with Kristie and her new baby. But time to re enter reality in my own life in Logan.

$175 Million

.. is how much FREE product that has to be given away at certain retail stores (I got mine at Dillard's)! My awesome friend Megan told me yesterday that her sister went to the mall and got some expensive product for free due to a huge class action lawsuit. I guess back in May 29, 1994 to July 16, 2003 retailers were jackin up their prices, and an auditor found it, and now they have to just give away $175 million dollars of free stuff as a result of the lawsuit. So I ran over there after work, and of course it was picked over as it started on the 20th, but I got Jonny some Giorgio Armani body wash that's originally $30 bucks! Too bad I live in a small town, and there is only one mall, or I'd be hittin up ALL the malls to get my free thing! Google cosmetic lawsuit and read all about it, it's quit interesting. And then rush to the mall to get your free thing before it's all gone!

Welcome Bailee Renee! - warning LOTS of pictures!

This might be my longest post ever- but it has good reason! My best friend in the whole wide world gave birth this past weekend to the most beautiful little baby girl! (warning, there are alot of picture- and it's not even my baby!)
Bailee Renee Vanwagoner
Born to Kristie & Mike
Arrived into this world @ 12:37pm
January 9th
8 lbs, 5 ounces
21 inches long

Kristie and Mike arriving at the hospital filling out the paper work. It just happened that Jonny and I met them in the parking lot, and so we were privileged to be with them the WHOLE time! We all got there around 7:45pm on Thursday the 8th. It was so much fun, and so amazing and wonderful! I am so grateful that Jonny and I were able to share with them during this monumental part of their lives. Thank you guys so much!
Best Friends- right before she got all situated in her room.

9 months and 1 week!
Soon to be parents!
She is the cutest pregnant girl ever! I can't believe that she was about to give birth and just so happy (obviously) and lookin so good!

Jonny and I brought Baby Mama- we thought it was the perfect movie to watch while 'waiting'.
The boys just chillin.
We all got a little crazy that night! I don't think we all laughed that hard in a long time! Like I said, it was so much fun!
Me hiding in the little cupboard in the hospital room. We all joked I should hide in there and in the middle of the delivery pop out and yell "Happy Birthday!"
Her first nurse, Deb, was so awesome! She had to leave at 7am the next morning, Kristie was so bummed that she couldn't be there for the delivery. But she came and found her later.
Kristie modeling her lip stuff, that face will sell that stuff!
Jonny doing his part! He was such a big help during the whole thing when he could be. Thanks so much love!
He was Kristie's remote for the first while!
Still so happy! I think this is around the time she got her epidural.

Mike (dad) taking a quick nap before the end of the beginning.
Bryce and Julie, Kristie's little bro and sis. Don't you love the camping chairs? Her room was where the party was happening! We all camped out over night!
Contractions getting closer... almost time!

And she's here!! Bailee Renee didn't even cry when she came out. She was so peaceful! She actually didn't cry until she went up to the nursery. What a happy baby, she is so content where ever she is. Let's hope it stays that way. (Oh I miss her so much and it's only been a day!)
Kristie's mom (Kathie)- new Grandma! Kathie and I were privileged enough to be in the delivery room while Bailee was being born. It was so amazing! (and I am NOT ready to do that! LOL)
Grandma and Bailee's hands. I love this picture!
Proof that she weighed this much- I couldn't believe it!
Headed up to the nursery.

After a long night Thursday night, and a long morning and afternoon Friday, Jonny and went to his parents house and CRASHED till about 9pm, and then went back to bed shortly after for the night. We woke up Saturday and headed over to Texas Roadhouse for my grandma's birthday lunch! Oh how we love love love that place! We even brought some back for Kristie, she loves it too!

Back at the hospital Saturday around 3pm. Kristie looks so good after having a baby about 24 hours ago!

Proud Grandpa! Kristie's dad.

I love this picture of Bailee and I! Look at how she is looking at me- like 'who the heck are you?!' - 'hello! I am the person that you are named after!' :)
Kristie's older brother- Brad.

OK- I had WAAY too much fun editing all these (197) pictures that I took. And that's just on my camera alone. I took probably even more picture with Krisite's camera, so she could have them. I am working on a DVD for Kristie of Bailee Renee from pregnancy to now. I can't wait to finish it and give it to Krisite.

Anika (Kristie's step daughter) and I. She is going to be such a awesome big sister!
Thought this was pretty funny! Kristie's nurse and aid's name is Kristi!

Anika- 7 going on 17!

Priceless picture- Bryce, Kristie's little bother, getting a litte emotional when he picks up Bailee for the first time. So precious!

Girls of the house!

I love this picture of Kristie and Bailee, she looks so grateful for her new baby girl!

That night Jonny and I went over to Roberts and Leslie's house. We love going over there!

We all headed over to thier friend Chris's house to play some Rock Band! And I must say, I am getting pretty good at the guitar! Colin & Jess, I am ready to rock it out again at your house soon! That night we said 'last song' for about 10 songs and finally left after midnight.

Jonny going super fast on the drums!
And before we left for Logan, one more stop at Kristie's. She got released from the hospital Sunday afternoon and was so happy to finally be home!

Congrulations Kristie & Mike & Anika! She is perfect!
