Double date night

The past weekend the Goff's invited us to go out on a double date. It was so much fun! And I'm sure they enjoyed the night out with out the cute kiddo's. They picked us up and we headed to Sizzler. When Jonny first told me we were going to Sizzler, I immediately thought of senior citizens. Laugh, but it's true! When you think of Sizzler don't you just think of early bird specials and dinner at 4:30? Well, Jonny did scout out the restaurant and the young did out number the old, so I guess I was wrong that night.
I love this man!
Colin and Jess are soo cute together! I was telling Jonny later on that night how cute they still are after a few many years and 2 kids later.
After Sizzler we were going to go bowling, but the lanes were full so we headed over to the Fun Park. And yes we went old school and went roller blading with all the jr high kids in the roller ring. It was so much fun! Definitely going to have to go back! Forgot how much fun roller blading is! Colin made us play 'follow the leader' around the ring, and we all went around and we had to follow the person in front. It was so funny what we all would come up with. I wish we would have gotten video of it. Maybe next time!
Thanks again Colin and Jess for inviting us!

How nice...

We came home from the gym tonight with a Cold Stone gift card on our door. Jonny said that last week, he ran into a guy outside our house who asked him for a glass of water (I guess he was doing yard work or something nearby). So Jonny simply went inside and got him a bottled water and didn't think anything of it. Well, this guy apparently thought a lot about it. I don't know why but so often it still surprises me that some people are just so nice still in their hearts. I think it's this crazy world we live in that we often underestimate people. So this was a good reminder. Thanks stranger!

Move night!

Tuesday night some girls from work came over to watch She's The Man. Love that movie (and so does Liz!). I love all these girls! We all met at our work Conservice (who all still work there except for slacker Brianna- jk). I think girls night is one of the things I miss most about being single. Not that I don't do plenty of girls nights now, but it's still not the same or as often. You girls know what I am talking about. Anyways, thanks for coming over guys! Love ya! Havin fun at the Farm

This past weekend we went out to Jonny's old Bishop's farm for a bbq and to watch a movie in the corn field. This guys farm is huge and his house is so cool. I wish I would have gotten a picture to prove this but he had a fire pole in his house. How awesome is that? Hopefully we remember that when we build our house.
Funny side story about this farm. When Jonny was in his ward they used to come out there for singles ward activities and Jonny has a picture of him and his 'date' here. I should dig it up and post it. :)

Jonny with the baby cows, they really liked him.
Me not so much, every time I went close to one it would back way.

Then after our bbq, we headed out to the middle of the cornfield where he has it cleared out just to watch movies.
Then- go figure- we watched Signs. That's our friend Spencer, Jonny used to be roomie's with him.

Dollar Tree finds

On Monday when my family and I were out shopping, we stopped in Dollar Tree. They had ton's of cute stuff to decorate with. I remember when I was younger I would say 'When I have my own house, I can't wait to decorate it!'. Well, almost 2 years of living in our house I have yet to do that. I did decorate last Christmas a bit though thanks to my amazing sister-in-law Julianne who gave me a box full of 'old' (new to me!) Christmas decorations (Thanks again!). But I think I am going to try and decorate more with each season. So for fall, it's these $1 each scarecrows. PS- Do you like how the tag is still on them?! Maybe I'll venture with the fall decorating into the house... stay tuned.
And good news! My shoe project is done. I finally got around to printing and taping the pictures on the tupperware containers. I am very pleased with it! I was getting tired of them all getting smashed under the bed.

Cabin Fever!

This weekend we went up to Jonny's family's cabin up Price Canyon. Talk about soo much fun! We got up there Friday night and stayed till Sunday morning due to the stormy weather coming in. The whole way up there Jonny told me story after story about going up to the cabin all the time when he was growing up. I had no idea that this cabin was so special to him. I am so glad that we were able to go!

We went on some hikes, it was so pretty up there and the weather was perfect.
Jonny just pushing down a tree for fun.

3 Wheeling FUN! That's right, I said '3' wheeling! These 3 wheelers are about 20 years old or older, they were tough, and soo much fun!

Jonny showing off his moves on his 3 wheeler. Go Jonny!

We went on this path and along the way were all these stray horses and cows. Jonny would just storm his 3 wheeler towards them as fast as he could. Not me, no way, they looked like they were going to charge!
Our new family tree!
Lot of scenic pictures! it was so pretty up there.

Some random thing that we found. Kinda cool.
Roxy lovin it!
Us and Maddie (Lynette's daughter)
Shooting time! Jonny and his dad :)

And that's it for the cabin. Can't wait till next time!

The rest of the weekend we spent in Salt Lake, Monday I went with my family shopping- had a blast, but am shopped out, even though I didn't really get anything. Got home last night and crashed.
