FREE.99 + s&h

I heart Oprah! A couple of weeks ago Oprah announced on her show that that she was giving FREE Snapfish.com books away (plus s&h) for one day only. Well, I completely forgot to make my book all day until about 11:45pm (and it ended at midnight). So I rushed to the computer and uploaded some of our favorite wedding pics and ordered mine.
I wish I would have remembered earlier because you can do so much on Snapfish.com! But for the lack of time, I just did one picture per page (you were only allowed to do up to 20 pages for the free book) and ordered mine. And it came today in the mail. I love it, but do wish I had more time to make it really good! Especially for free. But I guess this is a good sample of what they look like. Not bad for $4 something.

I am so LUCKY!

I came home tonight to a card and a movie hanging from the ceiling right when I walked into the door! Jonathan is so thoughtful and freakin awesome to do all these little things for me! I'll spare you the mushy details of what is written on the inside, but I LOVE the movie Elf! I can watch that over and over and then a few more times...{as I am rushing over to the dvd player to pop it in!} Jonny might regret this purchase after a few weeks of nothing but Elf. I think that is why he has prolonged giving it to me.
Thank you so much love! He really does do so much for me every day, and supports me in everything that I do- even though he is the one that needs all the support trying to earn his Electrical Engineering Degree (2 more semesters wahoo!). He is doing so good in school right now, and can't wait for graduation.
On a less mushy note, Saturday we went to Salt Lake (very last minute!) to go to Jill's birthday dinner. Happy Birthday Jill! We went to a very yummy place called Virg's. If you are ever in the Taylorsville area, stop by. Cheap good food! My family is always talking about that restaurant, so I was glad that we got to try it! Saturday night we ran over to Kristie's-my bff!- to hang out there for a while. I miss being able to see her all the time so much, and am so excited for her little girl to be born. Sunday we went down to Lehi to spend the day with Julianne and her family (Jonny's sister). We love love love going over there and love spending time with her kids. I could be with them all day, they are so funny and cute!

Dark & Cold but she still demands

By the time we get home around 5:30 now it's dark outside, and the weather has been cold as well. But that doesn't stop Roxy from demanding her walks right about that time though! I wonder how long she'll be able to go before it starts snowing. Since it is getting darker, we are putting her on her leash too. And she is NOT happy about that at all! She is not used to a leash, she is such a good puppy, she's always just stayed by us and we've never worried about her running off. So when she is on a leash she just freaks out- as she is doing here in the picture below. We usually have to stop about 10 times just going around the block and yell at her because she refuses to walk on the leash, or will 'play' tug of war with it.
Jonny's parrot puppy.
Maybe Roxy was a parrot in her past life. She loves to sit on Jonny's shoulder, and just balance there. She was on Jonny's shoulder for about 15 min while he cooked dinner.

Just Because...

I just wanted to give a huge SHOUT OUT to my wonderful husband! He is truly one of the most kind, giving, calm, and amazing person I know. He is always there for me, and is always there to help out where help is needed. He has a pretty hectic schedule, as do I, and he tries to make what little time we have together always FUN! I love that we can talk forever and ever! We can laugh our heads off till our stomachs hurt- and then laugh some more! I love that we still get so excited to see each other, and we would talk to each other and be with eachother all day-every day if we could. He is truly the ROCK in my life!

Home-style Panda Express

Last night Jonny and I wanted to try out some recipes from our 'secret recipes'. Which is every recipe you could think of from every restaurant and every candy etc! If you want it, comment and I'll email it to ya. Well, we picked Panda Express Orange Chicken! Here's how it went (step by step) ...
All the ingredients (and a few substitutes).
Preparing the chicken.
You have to let the wok heat up for about 15 min before you cook it, it gets really hot! We have an electric stove (hate it!), so it might not have cooked as well.
Frying chicken.
The cooked chicken.

Making the sauce.

Jonny giving the thumbs up- goin good!
Mixing it all together.
It really does look and smell like Panda Orange chicken, but will it taste like it?

Going in for the first bite...

And NO it doesn't! Jonny liked it, but I sure didn't. Too much of something and too little of something else. I think you just really can't substitute things- follow the recipe- exact! But we'll try it again.

On Saturday while Jonny was at school I raked up all our leaves. Well, I can't say that truthfully, Jonny did most of it a couple weeks ago, I just got the leaves that had fallen since then. Man- I think that should be done at gym! 'Raking Leaves Class!'. It is a workout! And it didn't help much that as I was sweeping our driveway that was full of leaves, Roxy would run up to my pile get a mouthful of leaves, run and put them back on the front yard! But we got it done. What I love about Logan (maybe they do this other places) is that all you have to do is rake your leaves to the curb and then a huge vacuum comes by and sucks them all up for ya! No bagging! Ya!
