Our last fun filled day in Washington DC. We did not want it to end at all. It had been the best trip so far, and this day lived up to that for sure. We woke up, got ready and made our routine walk over to gorgeous Union Station. The lobby of this building is magnificent and so huge. Love it. It had restaurants and shopping, the train, subway, it has everything. We actually ate here for dinner most nights. Can we go back already?

My picture in front of the subway. They go so fast! I think I was shocked because I ride the Trax here in Salt Lake every day, and they go turtle slow compared to this subway. I loved it. They were nasty though! And during rush hour so dang packed! People are shoving and pushing to get on and off.
Arlington National Cemetery. This was so neat to see. I swear we went on the hottest day though. We should have done this on the first day when it was over cast. This place is huge! And like I say we went over Memorial Weekend, so we got to see some 'extra' stuff.
There are so so many graves. It takes your breath away when you look out acres of headstone after headstone. It's amazing.

The 'Tomb of the Unknowns'. This was moving. There is a un named soldier from WWI, WWII and the Koren War. This tomb is guarded 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Those soldiers are there in the heat, the winter, no matter what the weather to protect this tomb of the 3 soldiers that died for our country.
We stayed and watched the 'changing of the guards', and so glad we did. How neat is this.

They inspect the gun fully to ensure that it's properly armed.

It's amazing. They have a guards there making sure that everyone is out of the way for this, and no noise and making sure everyone is very respectful. There were so many people there, and yet dead silent. Very humbling.

I was getting so hot and thought I could get some shade from some paper. It helped some. I was so nervous my head was going to burn, scalp sunburns are the worst.

Headed back to the subway and ready for the next stop. I swear every picture is of me carrying this backpack, but I really didn't carry it that often. My awesome carried it for us most of the trip.
Next stop- National History Museum. We are going to be honest and admit that by day 4, we were tourist wiped out almost. There is just so much you are looking at and taking in, you forgot where you were 5 min ago. This museum is huge and so much to look at!

Girls love thier diamonds!
Can you see me?

Can you tell we are a little tired? We did make it through- and it took hours!

I think he's ready to go.
Last and final fun filled activity of our ABB #3 Washington DC trip- Sharks 3D! I will just say it, this was my first 3D movie and it scared me! Who wants sharks swarming towards you? Not me! Jonny could not stop laughing at me when I would hurry and take off my glasses when I thought the sharks were too close. No thank you!
Well till next year ABB! Where should we go for ABB #4? Any suggestions?
