3rd birthday photo's

(original date: 8/14/10}

One of my hobbies is photography. I love the challenge, I love making people smile, I love editing and making pictures of out my camera into memories. I am so grateful that my friends use me to capture these memories. I love them and I love their cute kids. This cute kid is Kailee Andrus. She is always so fun to work with and will do anything for candy and gum!
Angie had the cutest cowgirl outfit to coordinate with her cowgirl themed 3rd birthday party- how cute is this!
The pictures look a little blurry because they are bigger (if you click on the picture you can see a better version of it), if anyone has any tips to make pictures bigger with out distorting them please pass on the word! - but I love them and wanted to show them off!
Wheeler Farm is always the perfect setting for pictures!

How beautiful are my friends? Are you kidding me, I am so lucky to have such pretty people as my subjects!

Love the pull back shot.
This picture is by far my favorite! I love it!

Happy Birthday Jonny's Dad

{original date: 6/25/10}

For Jonny's Dad's birthday this year Jonny decided to do something a little different. Didn't want to get him socks... or a new book... wanted to do something that was out of the house where he works so hard. So we got in the car...
Took a little drive...
Happy person #1!
Happy puppy #2!
Getting closer to the birthday present! We went on Hill Air Force Base! I have to say that is so fun. Call me silly, but I am just amazed at everything they have there! It is it's own city!
We saw where Jonny works! Woah! He works in a secure building so it's a no go for us to go inside- bummer!
What is that you see in my rear view mirror? A boat you say?
Heck YES it is! Jonny surprised his dad with a fishing trip! You can pretty much rent anything on base, so why not pick up a boat for the weekend! I love it!
And so did Mr. Jonathan Shaw!
Jonny put the boat in the garage with a huge sign on it and closed the garage door went inside and acted aloof. Oh the waiting. It was like waiting for Christmas waiting for his dad to finally come home from work! Finally we hear the garage open and rush out there to see his face when he finds his normal parking spot occupied with a boat!
Already planing out their trip the next day. They were so cute getting all their fishing gear ready and waking up early the next day to spend the whole day on Strawberry Reservoir. They had such a great fishing trip and made some memories.

Savannah's birthday & Mexi Night

(original date: 7/25/10}

We heart our Mexi Nights! We have some amazing friends, and we get to see them at least once a week at our weekly mexi night. We rotate houses each week and everyone bring yummy food. We cook it together and chow down on yummy mexican food. This particular mexi night we got to celebrate Savannah's birthday. It was so fun!
Angie showing off her sombrero and a route 44.
Love Becky- she is such an amazing friend and I am so happy I get to be hers. She lives up north, and doesn't get to make it each week. So when she and her family can make it- we are happy. PS: I made that shirt! Oh ya!

Lucky Savannah got 2 birthday cakes. Funny Jonny was having a good time re lighting all the candles as she was blowing them out- it wouldn't end.
Best friends these two are. And aren't they so adorable. I love how they always have their arms around each other when you take a picture- so precious.
Cake #2 on it's way.

We love our group pictures and don't get them enough! Just to show off who attends!
Gotta have a funny face one. I love Jonny and Jeff's stone cold faces, Savannah and Sarah on their phone- yep that sounds about right.

Like I say- we love our mexi nights each week and love our friends!

Bear lake 2010

{original date: 7/10/10}

Ah Bear Lake- how we love thee! We make it a tradition to go with Kristie and her family and this year we went and met up with my family there. It was so much fun! I love getting ready for Bear Lake. I love getting ready for 'day vacations'! Love getting our lunches packed, towels, making sure the camera is charged, chairs, snack food- so much fun to me. And I love the car ride there. It is so beautiful! My uncle Greig came and he is so much! We jammed out and talked and had a blast! Ridin in the car- poor Kristie got stuck in the back. But I didn't mind, I got to sit by my buddie Bailee Renee! She is at the cutest stage of repeating what you say and wanting to have all these 'adult conversations' with you. So cute!
Floatie is blown up and she is ready to hit the lake- too bad she didn't like it all that much. Darn!
Ode to Aunt Sara! She lives in Oklahoma and I always miss her so much! She is such an amazing person and so fun to be around. Makes the best of every situation and is so nice. I only get to see her when she comes out to Bear Lake every year, and I wish it was more often. Love you Aunt Sara!

Ok need to let you know on a little secret. Bear Lake is NOT 'our' family thing. It's Sara's (my side) husbands (not my side) family. But they are so sweet and so inviting that they've always invited us to come. It's their annual family reunion and it's been happening for 50 years now! Woah! My uncle Alan has only missed 2 times his whole life while he was on his mission. They live for this reunion! 2 weeks of bliss! And who wouldn't? It's awesome! I remember going when I was a kid all the time, and playing all sorts of 'Lewis' games and playing with all the cousins and sleeping in tents and playing in the water all day. And one of the best things about the Lewis family reunion is - the DOCK! Love it! They've always had one, they literally assemble it and dis assemble it every year. I've never actually been there on the first day when it is being assembled and dragged out far into the lake and anchored down. So it was neat seeing that happening. Jonny even got to help drag it out there. Once it was out there, he couldn't help but jump off that thing!
Enjoying the paddle boats. Those things are so much fun, but add a lot of people on them, and they start to sink- we found that out the hard way!
Bailee enjoying her Bear Lake trip from a safe distance on the shore.
Can this kid get any more hilarious! When ever we go to any 'swimming activity' he always brings all his gear. Which consists of: goggles, arm floaties, and his dog floaty. Love him!
Enjoying the gorgeous view!

Just chillin on the beach. This is something that I enjoy. I love watching people and just relaxing. I could lay on the beach with a good book (... and someone handing me fruity drinks all day) with no complaints.
A composure of the little one enjoying the beach. Until 2011 Bear Lake day- happy waves!

Happy birthday Becky

{original date: 5/1/10}

We love our Becky Isom. And we love that she picked PF Changs for diner. We've never been there, and it was very yummy. We did have to wait a long time when we got there though. Kinda irritated about that. But we know how to pass time. Angie, Jonny, Andrew and Jeff waiting every so patiently.
Jonny and Jeff got creative with Jordyn and Kailee and used them as little 'boxing puppets'. It was so funny! They thought it was funny too, probably not the best thing to teach your kids to box, but oh well, kids forget right?
Love Craig. He works out of town during the week, and so when he comes home on the weekends we have so much fun with him.
The dinner was delicious but the dessert was amazing! Look at the cute little shot glass on the right of the plate, they were so good and the just perfect amount of dessert to try it.
We also got this yummy chocolate cake. Mmm, I want some right now.
Me and my hubby lovin every minute of it!
Savannah and Sarah- the best of friends and such good friends of ours.
Birthday girl, Becky, and her awesome husband Andrew. Happy Birthday Becky!
It was raining while we were eating, and the canopy that is outside of the restaurant got filled up with water. Well, these two saw that as a perfect opportunity for a little water fight. It started with one standing on the side, and the other pushed up on the canopy and dumped all the water on the other. I am not choosing sides and saying who did it first *ahem, Jonny, but I will say that the other *ahem, Savannah, retaliated very well. Love you two.
