Day 2 of our amazing ABB adventure we walked over to the Post Office Museum which was about 2 blocks from our hotel right before Union Station. Wow, didn't think there would be this huge museum there, but there sure was! Ton's of historical things, and so much history behind the Post Office.
Jonny watching the little movie being played.
Much better angle. It was movies of old western post office men. Very cool stuff.

Occasionally there is a need for hazard suits for those 'suspicious packages'.
Like a letter like this.
And this.

Jonny's favorite mail boxes.
My favorite mail box. People can sure get creative with a plain old mail box.
The original post office is so beautiful! Why don't they make buildings like this anymore?
Riding the train to the next stop. It was so fun riding on the subway and very easy to navigate. It got so crowed during the day with tons of business men and women and tourist, and kinda scary at night.

Next stop- Air Space Museum! We spent so much time here! How can you not, it's huge and so much to look at! It even has a 2 story McDonalds in it. Which came in very handy later on. There were so many planes suspended from the ceiling and so information. Almost too much to take in at once. That's how I felt DC was- too much to take in at once. I think I'll be needing a 2nd trip there for sure.

Walking around DC. You need a day to just do this. It's so amazing and every where you look there is something to see and something to do and something to learn. We loved every minute of it.
Hello China Town!
Hirshorn Modern Art Museum. Now this place was cool! They had the most interesting thing, and so much to look at and just think- who would think of this? It was one of the more funner museums thats for sure.
Like how cool is this? A bunch of TV's laid out to be USA. All on different channels, so sweet!
Another awesome TV display!
Visiting the National Monument. Day 3 was so beautiful outside! All of the museums were freezing inside, but outside was gorgeous blue skies.
Taking a break. It's quite a work out to visit DC that's for sure. I am not going to lie, my legs were sore at the end of this trip! A sign that I need to work out more.

On our way to the next stop.
This was a humble place to stop. We went over Memorial weekend and so of course how can you not think about those who died for our amazing country and those who are out fighting for it today.

It was so neat. All 50 states circled this beautiful water fountain. And lots of flowers and notes and little trinkets were places around the state statues by those who wanted to remember those who died for us.

This cute squirrel had no fear! They were every where and very used to all the tourist of DC. This little guy just crawled up in the trash can and help himself.

Lincoln Memorial. Wow- very impacting when you make your way up those steps and see this huge statue of Lincoln. Not at all what we thought it would be. Very cool.

Another shot of our great capital.
That's it for day #3. Onto day #4!
