Denver to see our our new Shaw addition

{original date: 5/14/10- 5/16/10}
Oh we love Denver because we love our Janell and Rolf and our new baby girl - Evelyn Bonnie. We took this fun trip with Jonny's sister, Julianne and her sweet baby Janessa. It was so much fun and too short! Thank you to my best friend Kristie for taking us to the airport, we really appreciated it! Baby Janessa on her first plane ride. She was so good too. But that is her nature, she is the best baby!
Jonny loves his nieces and nephews, especially the little one's. He is so cute with the, and they sure love him. If a baby is crying, just let Uncle Jonathan hold them, he'll calm em right down.
Welcome to the newest addition to the Shaw's. As soon as we got to Janell's fun home we couldn't wait to see this baby! She is so cute and so lovable. I think we spent the next 3 days just holding her and loving her and trying to think of a plan to sneak her home with us. Miss her already!
Love these two. Julianne loves her babies so much, and is such a good Momma. Janessa was so easy going on this trip and what a size comparison to Evelyn!

Love baby feet! They are so small and so wiggly! We did kind of a mini photo shoot, and I love this picture of Janell with her Evelyn baby feet.
While in Denver we relaxed and went to the delicious farmers market, and laughed and stayed up late talking! Loved every minute of it! Jonathan and Rolf rode bikes to the farmers market, and afterwards Rolf had an errand to run afterwards. So that left Jonny to find his way home by himself on his bike. Us girls were a little nervous of him finding his way in a new town and by bike trial none the less. But he of course beat us home! He's so good!
On the way back we flew stand by (as we did the way there with no problem) but I guess everyone wanted to fly to Salt Lake that day, and Jonathan, Julianne, and I were almost not going to make it home that day. I hate that feeling of 'am I going to get on this plane home or not'. If you have flown stand by, you know this feeling very well. I had just felt so bad. But right before the plane was about to take off we heard our names on the intercom and rushed down the jet way and onto the plane! Thank goodness! Since we were the last one's on the plane, we didn't get to sit by each other which was bummer, but at least we made it home! Thanks again to Kristie for coming and picking us up from the airport as well. We love ya!

Happy Mothers Day 2010

{original date: 5/13/10}
Happy Mother's Day 2010. To show our appreciation so much to Jonny's mom this year for letting us live here we decided to do something a little bit better than the a card. The box came the day we were leaving to go to Colorado, and we were so happy it came before we left!
A remote? What could that be?
We sent her on a little scavenger hunt to find what this remote went to find out what this was.
Pushed the start button, and here comes a little robot vacuum that was hidden on the side of the couch to sweep up the floor. She was kinda confused at first what this was. When we told her that it would vacuum every day for her, she was very pleased! Funny story, when the box came in the mail we weren't home, and when we did get home she told us that a package had come for us.. a robotic vacuum?? Oh crap we thought, the surprise was ruined. It didn't take much convincing on our part to tell her that it was 'just a box they shipped it in' and it was soon forgotten.
Cute Jonny before we left for for Denver. I love that he loves black he's so cute! Next stop DENVER!

Jordyn's 2nd Birthday photo shoot

I got the privilege of taking sweet Jordyn's 2nd birthday pictures. This little girl is so adorable and full of personality. Love her. Love her cute cupcake shirt too.

This is probably my favorite! Really shows her funny self with a cute side!

Trying to get this kid to slow down for a second while we took these pictures was so funny. She is always going, going- gone.

Becky had the cutest idea of putting tons of cupcake around her and letting her 'go at it!' And she did! What kid wouldn't? I was ready to dive in at any second!
Outfit #3. Love this hat, and flower pin. How cute is that!?

The final result. How cute is that?! Thanks so much Becky!

Spongebob pinata

We had originally bought this pinata for Jonny's 'After Party' from his FABULOUS graduation party. Well the after party fell thru and we had this sponge bob pinata we had to do something with. So of course we would invite all our fun friends over on a lazy Sunday to bust it open.
Jeff was the brave one to go first. And he is brave to let Jonny spin him around and direct him where to hit.
The pinata ended up being so short we had to go on our knees to take a swing at it. It was so funny! And I think who ever was pulling on the string didn't let Jeff get one good swing.
But that short pinata was Jordyn's perfect height. She was so cute trying to swing it with the help of Mama.
Batter up! Andrew is next.
Jordyn taking another good wack at it. That thing would not break! It must of been some strong pinata!
Next- Savannah! Again very trusting of risky Jonny to spin you around and 'point you in the right direction'. There were lots of 'misses' that day of people going the wrong way and swinging into nothing.
Finally- contact!

One foot off- how bout the rest of it!
Go Jonny- bust that pinata open!
Can't do it with out his lovely assistant Becky. Who I am assuming is a little nervous to be so close to Jonny who is blindfolded and has a 'weapon'.
It was so funny trying to watch everyone try and get candy out of Sponge bob, no could do it!
FINALLY! Look at all that yummy candy! And you better believe that all us adult ran over as soon as it opened up and snatched as much candy as we could!

public transportation

Our daily schedule: Jonny leaves at 5am and drives to Central Station downtown. Then hops on Front Runner and takes that to the Clearfield stop and then rides his bike 3 miles to Hill Air Force Base (I know, he is amazing to ride his bike every day!). I then leave the house at 5:50 and walk to the bus stop, get off at Central Station (wave to our truck), hop on tracks, get off at the Library stop, and walk the block to work. and after work it's the reverse order. We just meet at Central Station and get in our truck and drive home. We love it! Jonny usually gets to Central Station about 5 minuties before me and the suspense kills me every day before I get to see him! I love that guy! Sometimes we'll take Trax to Gateway and walk around on nice nights- love downtown!

dinner at V-Dub's

love going over to our best friend's house. love eating. love all of them.

best friends forever! Thank you so much for inviting us over, we love ya!

b strong 5k

Jonny and I ran our 1st 5k a few weeks ago. It was for a old ward friend whose baby had drowned in a bathtub, and through a miracle survived with no complication. The 5k was such a turn out too. Jonny actually finished way ahead of us, but come back and posed for a picture. He's such a sport. Love him.
Us girls! We all did it!
The runners.
Jeff, Andrew, Jordyn, Angie, Becky, me and Jonny. Thanks guys, it was so great, and what an awesome experience! Till the next run.
